It takes technical knowledge, partnerships and funding to work through the legal requirements to build homes. The role of Te Pouahi o Te Taitokerau Trust is to support Kāinga Project Groups who own whenua in Te Taitokerau to make housing affordable for current and future generations.
But this can only be achieved by continually aligning with Ngā Tikanga (Our Values).
That means we will continue to deliver our Rangatiratanga (our local aspirations), we will leverage our collective resources and amplify our voice to deliver real results - Mahi tahi tūtuki noa, and we will be transformational in our ways of working - Whakawhiti ki tua.
That is because our journey is an intergenerational and sustainable approach - Te iti me te rahi, based upon being strategic and disciplined in our attitude - Te pae ki tawhiti, as we go about our collective mahi with urgency and diligence - Kia horo te āta haere.
